saucy saturday, wonderful weekend

I'm woefully behind on posts. So, I'll give you a quick rundown of the past few days:

Saturday began on a high point at the post office when I picked up my contributor's copy of Reactions 5. I'm very proud to be included in this collecetion. The anthology looks great and I'll be writing more about it soon.

I headed out to meet my incredibly cute lunch date at Kate's in the E. Village (my first such outing in a year, the date part, not Kate's). We had a great time and spent most of the day together. After Kate's we sat in Tompkins Square Park, got rained on, had coffee at Odessa, headed back out to the park and kissed on a park bench. Sigh.

Then we parted; my date, who was also celebrating a birthday, went off to meet some friends and I headed to the BPC for the Saucy Saturday erotica reading. And we planned to meet up later on at a bar in Brooklyn. The reading went well, Tsaurah was a really great emcee and my fellow readers all rocked. I got to hang with Thad who has a new novel, Tetched coming out in the Fall.

Then I headed over to Lava Gina for Nichelle's FYP Party which as per usual included lots of cupcakes and cleavage. Despite these ideal surroundings, I headed out early for the second part of my date.

Yesterday was spent working on some writing and later on I ventured to Galapagos for the Andy for Mayor party which was awesome and I got to hang out with RKB and have my favorite pizza on Bedford Ave.
