Last night's Pussy Poets reading at KGB was a reunion of sorts. Like a Who's Who of the early '90's spoken word scene - "Behind the Poetry" if you will. Every time I turned my head, I saw another old poetry friend. And I felt somewhat grounded.
Anne, Gloria and Janice were all fantastic, as usual and it's great to see how their work has evolved over the years. Anne read a short story called "Light Streaming Out of a Horse's Ass", Gloria did a fabulous selection of poetry and song including the classic "My Taxes" involving a rabbit tax-collector and Janice read from her forthcoming memoir "Girlbomb."
I left feeling really inspired.
