Yes, it's that time again! It's Friday and the means it's time for the Word of the Week! As usual culled from the Merriam Webster Word of the Day e-mails.
This Week's Word:
diapause \DYE-uh-pawz\ noun
: a period of physiologically enforced dormancy between periods of activity
My Sentence:
After a long day of slaving over a hot keyboard, socializing with various people and updating my blog, I fall into a state of diapause until the next activity has me up and at 'em.
I think this sentence may be a bit lame, but I'm tired and it's been a long week. I got alot done the past few days and figured some things out, which I'm grateful for.
Off to finish off some stuff at the day job, then a bit of writing at the cafe.
Friday, December 3
