The reading went well tonight. There was a great turnout - a really fabulous audience. And the other readers were all top drawer! Please check out Katy Brennan, Merdith Philips and Allison Weaver. I'll search for weblinks tomorrow. Also, much thanks to Felicia Sullivan for putting it all together.
It felt good to finally put some of the memoir out there. I feel like I've been hiding it away for so long. I think I just need to finish it and get it out there. I'm on top of this with everything else I write like my poetry and spoken word. I think I need to start thinking of my nonfiction writing in the same terms.
Anyway, that's all the artistic analysis I can offer at the moment.
