Last night's ATOMIC was a really fun, inspired show. Pauline read from her novel-in-progress. Elise read an essay from her memoir Cock Crazy! called "Union of the Snake" that was both funny and moving. Nathan charmed us with his signature style of stand-up poetry.
Later on Nathan and I headed over to 6's & 8's on Christie St. to meet Girly for a fun party with go-go dancers and lots of eighties and nineties hits. I caught myself singing along with "Celebrity Skin" and "More Than A Feeling" which is the most singing that I will do. I can't hold a note and refuse to do karaoke. As one of my exe's put it -"it sounds like you're trying to hurt the song." That's why I stick with the verse.
The weekend was really fun, although I hid in front of my brand-new fan for most of the day yesterday. I'm not big on the hot weather and it's only going to get hotter...
Tonight is the Telephone Bar. And tomorrow is the BIG SHOW. I'm not going to post info. here again just click on the flyer at right and come on out to Galapagos! I know you want to.
