monday night

I'm missing out on Michelle Tea's reading at Lucky 13 and a friend's birthday gathering. I just can't do it tonight. Instead, I'm home with a heating pad and also watching The Apprentice, something I've only done once before. I'm still in pain, although not as bad as before.

After work, I went to the doctor who said he couldn't do any more for me than the hospital. After the doctor I went to Petco for some stuff for Lulu, like a new collar and ID tag which she refuses to keep on and some fresh catnip that she has no interest in. What can I say? She's a picky little princess. Kitty Kind, the cat rescue that operates out of the Union Square Petco, which is where I found Lulu, had a kitten up for adoption that looked just like Sabrina. I totally missed out on Sabrina's kittenhood since I adopted her when she was one. Of course, I got all teary-eyed looking at this kitten. Luckily, I have really big sunglasses.

Something a bit more cheery: the Spring issue of Small Spiral Notebook is up and they have a fabulous new blog. Awesome.
