i've never been to me

Had a weird day today. I won't bore you with the details, but I am going to make an important announcement:

The next ATOMIC will be on September 10th so we'll be skipping August as well. This will be our seconod-anniversary show and, this is hard to type, this will be the LAST ATOMIC - at least it will be the last one that I will be curating. I absolutely adore the series; meeting and introducing so many incredible writers, even the greasy diner food that often follows the show. Readers of this blog know I have often waxed poetic on being a curator. But, my book is not going to write itself and I need to pare down a bit on the extra-curriculars and just focus on my own work for a while. I'm planning something really special for the last one though, so please save the date.

I'm at home tonight, answering interview questions for my favorite poetry zine which required me to re-read some Anne Sexton. Good stuff.

Very brave move. I hope you make good progress on the book.

Not so sure about the post title though. Charlene? Oh dear! You do surprise me.

Good luck anyway!

I should add that the title of this post is completely facetious. And I had an ear worm from that song when I chose it. It totally invaded my brain.

Yes, I've got it now and it isn't at all pleasant. Bit sad that I know quite a lot of the words too - not sure how that happened!

Well, I've enjoyed the Atomic readings I've attended (and read in!) and will miss your curating.

But putting the book first is a great move. I'm glad.

Will you read in the finale? I hope! Hope I can make it. It's on my calendar now.
